Coworking near Antas, Porto: the measured drive-time map

Where the remote-worker buyer would actually plug in a laptop near Antas — measured drive times to Founders Founders, Armazém Cowork, The Social Hub and Boavista, plus the honest catch a brochure leaves out.

Key findings

  • 01Measured by car from the parcel (OpenStreetMap routing / OSRM, June 2026): Founders Founders 2 min / 2 km, Armazém Cowork (Paranhos) 4 min / 3.1 km, Spaces Bonfim 5 min / 3.6 km, The Social Hub Porto 6 min / 3.7 km, Spaces/Regus Boavista 7 min / 5.1 km
  • 02The genuinely-near independent is Armazém Cowork, a ~420 m² warehouse conversion in Paranhos on the same eastern side of town — a 4-minute measured drive, with a dedicated desk indicatively from around €132/month +VAT (confirm with the space)
  • 03Founders Founders, a ~4,000 m² founder community on the Bonfim edge, is the nearest at a 2-minute drive — but it is community-gated, not a casual day-pass drop-in; for drop-ins, The Social Hub Porto (6 min) lists day passes indicatively from around €19
  • 04The honest limit: Antas itself is not a coworking hub — most of Porto's density is central and Boavista — so the real advantage is connection, with Estádio do Dragão metro putting the whole scene a few stops away; a frequently-cited space, Porto i/o, has closed

Why it matters: Remote workers ask one practical question: where would I actually work outside the flat? From the parcel the answer is honest but strong — Antas is residential, yet a startup community space and an independent coworking are a measured 2-to-4-minute drive, and Porto's whole scene is a short metro ride from Estádio do Dragão. The honest detail matters: most coworking density is central and Boavista, and day-pass prices are indicative, quoted +VAT, and should be confirmed with the space.

From the Privilege Gardens parcel, the nearest place to plug in a laptop is a 2-minute drive: Founders Founders, on the Bonfim edge. The independent Armazém Cowork in Paranhos is 4, Spaces Bonfim 5, The Social Hub Porto 6, and Spaces/Regus Boavista 7 — all measured drives. Founders Founders 2 min · Armazém Cowork 4 · Spaces Bonfim 5 · The Social Hub 6 · Boavista 7 — measured drives from the parcel. Antas is residential eastern Porto, not a coworking hub — but the remote-worker buyer is unusually well placed, because the whole scene is a few metro stops away.

I'm José Luis, and we are building Privilege Gardens in Antas, so read the disclosure at the end. The honest line a brochure would skip is this: there is no big-brand coworking on the doorstep. What there is, is one genuinely-near independent and a startup community space within minutes, plus Porto's entire coworking scene a short ride from Estádio do Dragão metro. I would rather give you the measured minutes and that catch than sell you a hot-desk downstairs that does not exist.

How close coworking really is: measured drive times

We ran driving routes from the parcel at 41.169194, -8.588306 to each space. The numbers below are real OpenStreetMap routing (OSRM), measured June 2026 — off-peak driving minutes and road kilometres, not straight-line distance.

So the closest space by car is Founders Founders at 2 minutes and 2 km, the nearest independent (Armazém Cowork) is 4 minutes and 3.1 km, and the furthest in this set — Spaces/Regus on the Boavista business spine — is 7 minutes and 5.1 km (OpenStreetMap routing / OSRM, June 2026). 5 working bases inside a 7-minute drive is a real, measured statement; whether any of them suits you is the next, more honest, question.

The genuinely-near option: Armazém Cowork, Paranhos

If you want a desk you can simply join, the closest real coworking is Armazém Cowork — an independent, "a modern and comfortable facility rehabilitated from an abandoned warehouse with 420 m²" in Paranhos, the same eastern side of town as the building, a 4-minute measured drive. It has natural light and an outdoor garden, and sits close to the Marquês and Combatentes metro stops. Pricing is indicative and quoted +VAT: a dedicated open-space desk runs from around €132/month and a lighter lounge tier from around €77/month (Coworker, 2026) — confirm with the space, because coworking rates drift. This is the honest answer to "where would I actually keep a desk near Antas."

The 2-minute neighbour, and what it is not

Founders Founders is the nearest of all at a 2-minute drive — a ~4,000 m² founder community on Rua da Constituição, with private offices, shared areas and a 120 m² auditorium. The honest caveat: it is community-gated, built around a founder-first crowd, not a casual day-pass drop-in. If you are an entrepreneur looking for a network, it is on your doorstep; if you want to wander in and pay for a day, it is not that kind of place. For the IWG serviced-office model — a registered business address plus a desk — Spaces Bonfim is 5 minutes away, near Campanhã.

Day passes: a short metro hop, not the doorstep

For a drop-in day — testing the city, a change of scene, a place to meet someone — the polished central choice is The Social Hub Porto in Baixa, a 6-minute drive, where "day passes start from €19" (indicative, +VAT likely, confirm with the space). Porto's design-district spaces are the same kind of ride: CRU Cowork in the Bombarda art district lists day passes around €20, and PortoSoul Cowork around €15 a day. One honest correction the rest of the web hasn't caught up to: Porto i/o — the name most relocation blogs still list first — has closed all its physical spaces (autumn 2025). Do not plan around it.

The honest limits

Here is the part a brochure leaves out. Antas itself is not a coworking hub. Porto's coworking density is overwhelmingly central and Boavista — the Spaces/Regus Boavista flagship on the Rotunda is 7 minutes, the Baixa and Bombarda spaces 6 — and the genuinely-near options are exactly two: the independent Armazém Cowork (4 min) and the community-gated Founders Founders (2 min). So the wedge is honest: you are not buying coworking downstairs; you are buying an unusually well-connected base. Estádio do Dragão is a direct Metro Line A interchange, which puts the whole scene a few stops away — easy, but a ride, not a walk. And every membership or day-pass figure here is indicative, usually quoted +VAT, and worth confirming on the operator's own page before you commit.

The realistic setup most remote buyers land on is a home office in the apartment, the near independent (Armazém) for a regular desk, and a central drop-in like The Social Hub for meetings — which is exactly how the wider neighbourhood reads in the guide on life around Antas. And because the same "minutes by car, not on the doorstep" logic governs how you'd spend the rest of the week, the companion measurement on courts and gyms is padel and gyms near Antas.

A note on our interest

We develop in Antas, so we have an interest in how this reads. That is exactly why the drive times are first-party measurements from the parcel that anyone can re-run, the space facts come from the operators' own listings, and where the honest answer is "Antas is residential, most coworking is a metro ride, and one frequently-cited space has closed," I have said so plainly.

  • Is there coworking in Antas, Porto?

Antas itself is residential and not a coworking hub, but a couple of spaces sit genuinely close. Measured by car from the Privilege Gardens parcel (OpenStreetMap routing / OSRM, June 2026), Founders Founders is a 2-minute drive (2 km) and the independent Armazém Cowork in Paranhos is 4 minutes (3.1 km). The wider scene — central Porto and Boavista — is a short metro ride from Estádio do Dragão rather than on the doorstep.

  • What is the nearest coworking space to Antas?

By measured drive from the parcel (OSRM, June 2026), Founders Founders is the nearest at 2 minutes (2 km), on the Bonfim/Campanhã edge — though it is a community-gated founder space, not a casual day-pass drop-in. The nearest independent you can simply join is Armazém Cowork in Paranhos, a 4-minute drive (3.1 km), a roughly 420 m² warehouse conversion on the same eastern side of town.

  • Can I get a coworking day pass near Antas?

Yes, with a short metro hop. The most polished central option is The Social Hub Porto in Baixa, a 6-minute measured drive (3.7 km), which lists day passes indicatively from around €19 ([The Social Hub](https://www.thesocialhub.co/porto/co-working-space/), 2026) — confirm with the space, as prices drift and are usually quoted +VAT. Note that Porto i/o, listed first by many older guides, has closed all its physical spaces.

  • How far is Porto's main coworking scene from Antas?

A short metro ride. Measured by car from the parcel (OSRM, June 2026), The Social Hub Porto in Baixa is 6 minutes (3.7 km) and Spaces/Regus Boavista, on Porto's business spine, is 7 minutes (5.1 km). Estádio do Dragão is a direct Metro Line A interchange, so the central and Boavista spaces are a few stops away — the real advantage here is connection, not coworking on the doorstep.

  • Is Antas a good base for a remote worker buying in Porto?

It is a strong base with an honest caveat. The realistic setup is a home office in the apartment, the near independent (Armazém Cowork, a 4-minute drive) for a regular desk, and a central drop-in like The Social Hub (6 minutes) for meetings and networking. The caveat: Antas is residential, so most of Porto's coworking density is a metro ride away rather than at street level — confirm any membership or day-pass price with the space before you commit.
